I Love You to the Moon and Back Inspiration Shoot

Earlier this summer, we assembled a dream team to create a space-inspired wedding shoot. We wanted to flex our creative muscles, work with color, and style a gorgeous day and it's safe to say it was a success.

This shoot began as a loose concept based on space. We pulled our colors from the stars and planets focusing on navy with pops of yellow, magenta, and orange. The invitations were designed by the amazing Pink Puddle Studio and featured a gorgeous watercolor style giving a handmade feel to the suite.

Our groom and his groomsmen stunned in navy suits from Mr. Formal and our bride literally sparkled as light caught the beading on her custom gown from Mignonette Bridal.

The stunning bridesmaids gowns were from the lovely ladies at Bella Bridesmaids. We love the ability to find the perfect gown for each of your bridesmaids in any color or style. Their collection is incredible.

The bride's dress was truly a work of art. From the intricate beading on the overlay to the stunning, delicate open back - we couldn't get enough of it. Mignonette Bridal is a must for any Chicago bride (or really any bride willing to take a trip to Chicago!). All of the bouquets and boutonnieres were tied using our custom dyed silk ribbon in gray.

This gorgeous day combined an urban feel with the beauty of the outdoors effortlessly. Events on Jackson's space is perfect for an indoor/outdoor wedding day and allowed us an even greater opportunity to focus on the stars by placing the action in the gorgeous courtyard in the center of the venue. After portraits were taken, the couple and their bridal party sat down at the simple, elegant tablescape for dinner.

Let's talk decor for a moment. Our friends at Tremaine Ranch provided all of the incredible furniture and tabletop rentals for this design. We are head over heels for the mixed colors of the goblets and the classic touch added by the silver candlesticks. Our custom dyed linen was draped across the table as a beautiful base for this look.

The floral designs were created in our blush luster compotes (which is our FAVORITE vessel in our rental inventory right now). We love the way the container gives a different sheen in different lighting conditions and we feel endlessly inspired filling them up.

The custom menu executed by Food Truck Caravan featured three courses of gorgeous, delicious food. Appetizers included summer rolls in rice paper, chicken dumplings, and shrimp ceviche. We loved the way the colorful treats paired with the color of the floral designs on the table.

The main course was a trio of entrees - no deciding between chicken or fish here. Guests indulged in chicken puebla, vegetarian gnocci, and seared cod fish.

To round out the meal, guests enjoyed a mango panna cotta and chocolate flourless cake with fruit and coulis.

Last but certainly not least, we had a stunning cake to tie the evening together. Sift Bakehouse created this navy blue and silver beauty and we topped it with our bright blooms for that extra punch of color.

As the reception drew to a close, everyone gathered in the lounge to stargaze as they sipped the last of their drinks.

It truly took a village to bring this shoot to life. If you're looking for some incredible people to work with, might we recommend the following?
